Leadership Tip

How to be an effective workplace leader

A good leader knows there’s no “I” in team, but a truly effective one knows how to build workers up to be future leaders. To encourage your team to reach its full potential and to become the best role model you can be, fostering leadership in the workplace is crucial. Here are some ways to do that.

1    Mentoring – guide your workers to shape them into the future leaders of your company.
2    Recognise accomplishments – give credit where it’s due.
3    Invest in your team – training programs improve skills.
4    Offer feedback – keep it consistent and constructive.
5    Provide a positive environment – positivity improves productivity and morale.
6    Know when to ask questions – admit when you don’t have the answers.
