Working from home has several benefits, but there are potential downsides too, such as isolation and Zoom fatigue. Here are some tips to mitigate such issues.
- Set up a workspace: Have something like a paper pad or an inspirational quote at your desk. This will tell your brain that work is “on”.
- Incorporate strategic breaks during the day. Follow your internal cues to decide when and for how long.
- Do not indulge in emails all day. That can hit productivity.
- Have a clock-out ritual. For instance, you could end your day by placing all work-related items in a drawer. This will help your brain compartmentalise.
