Have you ever tried to get the team together for a last-minute meeting - whether it is to go over something urgent or to discuss ways to improve sales? It turns out, these urgent (and often inconvenient) meetings are not very productive. Instead, try using an "innovation sandwich" to create breakthrough ideas. Here is the recipe:
- First, all colleagues should be brought together to ensure everyone has the same knowledge regarding the topic being discussed.
- Then everyone should be sent off separately to digest what they have learned and think critically about solutions.
- Lastly, the group should all be brought back together to discuss their ideas.
